East Orange Hospital Dedicates Hope Gardens in Honor of Dr. Antoinette Ellis-Williams
Hope Gardens, an East Orange Hospital residential facility, has been dedicated in honor of Dr. Antoinette Ellis-Williams, director of the Lee Hagan Africana Studies Center and a professor of women’s and gender studies at New Jersey City University who is former chair of the Hospital’s Board of Trustees.
Dozens of city and hospital officials and community members, including East Orange Mayor Robert Bowser and Assemblyman Tom Giblin, attended the dedication ceremony at which Dr. Ellis-Williams, a decade-long member of the Hospital Board, was honored for her ongoing commitment to excellence in health care.
