FINDING JUSTICE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BEYOND BALTIMORE
 Dr. Ellis Williams | TEDxJerseyCityWomen

How can we work collectively for equality in a diverse democracy, i.e. a "just culture"? This talk will explore the challenges associated with race, class, power, fear and rage through the lenses of an “outsider” immigrant, woman, and urban mother, and try to offer practical solutions for building coalitions and community.

Dr. Ellis-Williams is a minister of the gospel of Jesus the Christ. Her deep faith, her fight against injustice and her commitment to loving her neighbor as herself is rooted in her practice. She is committed to an ecumenical and inclusive framework. It is her hope to help heal the brokenhearted, marginalized and break chains of oppression.

The word of God states that we ought to “Learn to do good right; seek justice, correct oppression. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow'. (Isaiah 1:17)
