This Chapbook includes a portion of the visual works and poetic texts created to shines light on the beauty, tenacity and power of Black women. This is a glimpse of the larger BURN production. I hope the viewer will understand the depth, complexity and fight associated with Black women’s life and legacy from this little book. The BURN Project is a multi-disciplinary project which rethinks and explores the many ways Black women have been burned AND simultaneously their unique agency to set things on “Fiya” (aka Fire) and heal.
